It’s been a tough last few years and we could all certainly use a check in with ourselves. Do you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or lost? Life has been tough with technology often overpowering everyday life, leaving families disconnected. I excel at partnering with teens, young adults, and individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, & lacking motivation. Allow me to help reconnect and guide you. This journey is about helping you tell your story & reconnect with your life. It’s time to have healthier, stable relationships and feel good with who you are.

Depression

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed.

Anxiety

All People experience some amount of anxiety at times. Anxiety is actually a normal reaction to stress, and sometimes it helps humans deal with tense or overwhelming situations.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma is the response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope.  EMDR therapy has been used with teens and adults with a wide variety of emotional and psychological issues, specifically targeting trauma & PTSD symptoms.

WHAT IS DBT THERAPY?

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of talking therapy. It's based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but it's specially adapted for people who feel emotions very intensely.

The aim of DBT is to help you

Understand and accept your difficult feelings Learn skills to manage them Become able to make positive changes in your life ‘Dialectical’ means trying to understand how two things that seem opposite could both be true. For example, accepting yourself and changing your behavior might feel contradictory. But DBT teaches that it's possible for you to achieve both these goals together.
